FAN-MISSION FOR THIEF 3 "THE OLDSTONE CASTLE (RoomQuest)",

THE WALKTHROUGH:

Well, because of his excessive covetousness Garret forcedly jumped into this adventure inside the charmed "The Oldstone Castle". He risks staying here for eternity (like so many other previous fortune hunters did), if he (You) don?t complete the 5 objectives (5 special keys) & stay alive.

Location: the Bedchamber,

You are in a cenacle without any windows or doors so you must search for another way out.

1st, read the flying scroll near the bed. It states that the exit is not a door but a book.

Conduct a thoroughly search of the room and find:
- Button for a chest - on the floor between bed's headboard and wall.
- Button for a chest - in the bookcase with statue.
- Key on bed - on valance of the bed on the side of flying scroll.
- Key on floor - on floor, in the shade between closet with hammer and closet with steering wheel.
- Key on shelf - on shelf of the bookcase with beer cask.
- Button for appearance of flying books - on the right side of the bookcase with beer casks.

Open the locked chests with keys, if lid opens the key will disappear.

Now you have 5 objects (hammer, glass head, mug, telescope, helmet), which are unbolting "keys" to 5 flying books.

Choose the object in your inventory, use it on the closed flying book and - oo-la-la - go to another location...

Actually you can choose any location you like. If teleport books are opened (activated) you are free to go "there and back again" without using any extra objects.

Location: the Church,

Look around, read the flying scroll near a right-hand window and find out that you need to gather a flying bridge. The mechanism is very old, sometimes you need to push the buttons twice to make a lift move...

The buttons are:

- In the base of lecturing desk.
- On the right under the seat of the bench which is right-hand from the lecturing desk, (when you face to benches).
- On center of back (on the behind side) of the bench which is right-hand from the lecturing desk of 2nd row
- On the column after the bench which is right-hand from the lecturing desk of 3rd row
- On the right under the seat of the bench which is left-hand from the lecturing desk of the 2nd row (flying book for back teleportation appears).
- On the right, over the seat of the bench which is left-hand from the lecturing desk of 3rd row.

To get to the flying bridge use two lifts on the right-hand from the lecturing desk. First one (on the right) is to get up to the second (on the left). Second one is for flying up to the bridge.

Look around the balcony for the knife-switch - get a red light and the "Hammer Key".

Go back to Bedchamber for teleporting to another location.

Location: the Sea Shore,

Face the bed & moon. The first switch is at the outermost outside grate on your right hand. You can see it with your mechanical eye. Get close to the grate to highlight the switch. The second switch is at the opposite side of all this room.

Location: the Drunken Pub,

Are we afraid of zombies? Not if they are good-humored drunkards like our neighbors from downstairs...

There is ABC in the flying scroll and one of the drunkards periodically talks about an artifact - the HEART. From numerology the number of this word is 85192.

Flying frames are the place for entering 5 numbers of the code. An apple appears in front of the activated position. Use the stretched rectangular button near the pillow for confirming the code.

Use the rectangular button near the pillow to confirm.

Take the "Drunken Key". Then to access the teleport book, look for the button in the shelves with wine bottles (between giant lobsters and mugs for Atlantes).

Location: the Library,

According to the flying scroll, if you want to get the key you need to find some special books here. There are 8 special books and they become highlighted from time to time. Two of them are in low closets under the platform. The other 6 are clearly seen from the platform. Use upper technical trapdoors and Eternal Healing Fountain and this job will be "a piece of cake".

Place the collected 8 books at 8 lecterns in the room with bays and get the "Library Key". Inspect the dark corners for the button for the teleport book back to the Bedchamber.

Location: the Bedroom for Visitors,

Examine walls, floor and ceiling for 5 buttons. 4 of them turn on the statues and 1 of them gives you access to the teleport book.

The flying scroll gives you hints about differences for the statues, so if a statue responds to you with a melodious sound, it must hold a glass head. If not, the statue must stay without any burden. The statue with hands laid together is an "observer" and serves for the combination's confirmation.

Set the statues in the correct position, use the "observer" and get the intimate "Scary Key".

Location: the Library,

So you've collected all 5 special room keys and now is the time to use them. The right place to do this is the platform in the Library. Touch the lock on one of the columns. If you have all 5 keys this will activate the light above the column and another 5 locks on the other columns.

Fit a key into every lock. Do all lanterns shine? So pretty! But our time for admiration ends quickly. The Oldstone Castle comes tumbling down and we avoid the death only by some miracle.

All right! The exit is in front of You, opened as desired, now Go!!!
